How to keep track of school emails
The easiest way to keep track of school emails is to stop managing them yourself. Forward each school email to Kiddash, and you’re done. You don’t need to read it first or sort it by kid. Kiddash pulls out every event, task and due date, which kid it’s for, and where and when to be there.
Why the usual advice doesn’t work
Most tips for school email add work: make a folder for each kid, set up filters, read every newsletter, copy dates into a calendar, check it all on Sunday. That’s a second job, and it falls apart the first busy week.
You don’t need a better system for reading school emails. You need to not read them.
Forward it and you’re done
- Forward the email to plans@kiddash.app from the email address you use with Kiddash.
- Kiddash sorts it out. It finds the events, tasks, due dates and which kid each one is for.
- Give it a quick look and save. Everything lands in your dashboard with visibility for the whole family.
That’s it. No folders, no rules, no rereading.
What Kiddash pulls out of a school email
| In the email | What you get in Kiddash |
|---|---|
| “Picture day is Friday, October 16” | An event on Friday, for the right kid |
| “Early release Wednesday at 12:30” | An event, so pickup isn’t missed |
| “Field trip forms due Monday” | A task with a due date |
| “Wear orange for spirit day” | A task for that day |
| “Book fair, $10 per student” | A task, so the money gets sent |
| “Winter concert at 6 PM in the gym” | An event with the time and place |
Even in a long newsletter, Kiddash finds the details buried near the bottom.
Make it automatic
- Save plans@kiddash.app as a contact, so forwarding takes two taps.
- Forward school emails as they arrive. Teachers, the school office, the PTA, all of it.
- Check your dashboard each morning to see what’s happening and what needs you.
- Invite all parents and caregivers. Anyone in your Kiddash family can forward school emails, and everyone sees the same dashboard.
Your inbox stays yours
Kiddash never connects to your email account. It only sees the emails you forward. Read is it safe to forward school emails to an app? or see how Kiddash works.
